Wallet

Wallet connection, Polygon prompts, app sign-in, trading setup, approvals, and safe retry guidance.

You need a wallet for account-specific actions such as trading, portfolio, deposits, withdrawals, settings, referrals, and claiming. Public browsing does not require a wallet.

Connect and verify

Use the header login or wallet button to connect. The app may then ask you to verify wallet ownership before trading or adding funds. In the menu, you may see messages such as "Wallet connected. Verify this wallet to trade or add funds." and the action "Verify wallet".

If the connected wallet is different from the wallet verified on your app session, reconnect or verify the correct wallet before trading.

Polygon prompts

Polymarket trading and settlement use Polygon-based assets and contracts. The app may ask you to "Switch to Polygon" before trading setup, approvals, or wallet actions. This is expected when your wallet is on another network.

Do not approve a network switch if the domain or wallet prompt looks suspicious.

Trading setup labels

Depending on your account state, the trade ticket can show:

  • Connect Wallet or Connect wallet.
  • Switch to Polygon.
  • Enable Trading.
  • Add Funds.
  • Approve Tokens.
  • Place Order.
  • Trading unavailable.

"Enable Trading" can include setup steps such as deploying or verifying a deposit wallet and enabling trading credentials. It does not place an order by itself.

Approvals

Approvals let the relevant Polymarket trading path use a token for trading or settlement. The app describes token approval as "Approve Tokens" and notes that approval does not move funds by itself. Only approve tokens when the wallet prompt matches the action you started.

Before you sign

Check the browser domain, connected wallet, network, token, amount, and action name before approving a wallet prompt. If a prompt appears unexpectedly, reject it and restart the action from the app. Support will never need your seed phrase, private key, wallet recovery phrase, or raw trading credentials.

Common wallet errors

  • Wallet connection failed: close the wallet panel, reopen it, and try again.
  • Wrong network: switch to Polygon from the app prompt or in your wallet.
  • Wallet panel blank: close it, make sure the owner wallet is selected, and retry.
  • Signature timed out: reopen your wallet and approve only the expected signature.
  • Unsupported wallet mode: use the wallet and account path the app prompts for.

Never share seed phrases, private keys, session keys, or full credentials with support.
