Perps

Perpetual contracts let you take a long or short position without a fixed expiry. They use margin, funding payments and liquidation rules. The Perps workspace brings prices, orders, positions and funding together inside Chicken Dinner.

You can view public prices and use the price scenario helper before enabling trading. Live execution depends on your account, location and the deployment's trading settings.

Connect your trading account

Choose Enable trading, then Authorize Perps session. The temporary session lasts up to one hour and stays in this browser's memory. Leaving the workspace or choosing Close connection closes the local connection; the authorized credentials expire after one hour. Orders and funding still require their own explicit actions in the app.

Fund Perps

Your Perps margin account is separate from your trading-wallet balance.

1. Enter an amount in pUSD; a deposit requires at least 10 pUSD.
2. Choose Review deposit and check the amount.
3. Confirm the collateral approval and deposit in your wallet.
4. Check the official funding history. An on-chain submission does not mean the Perps account has been credited.

Place and manage an order

Select a market, choose Long / Buy or Short / Sell, and enter a limit price and quantity. The quantity is in the underlying asset, not pUSD. Choose Review order, check the details, then Confirm & place order.

Orders are good till cancelled. A limit order may rest without filling. The account panel shows official order status, filled quantity, positions, margin and liquidation prices. Use Cancel on an eligible resting order.

Prepare close sets the opposite direction and the current position quantity, with reduce-only enabled. You still choose a limit price and confirm the order; preparation alone does not close the position.

If a response times out, refresh the account to reconcile the original order ID. A fresh submission stays blocked while the original outcome is uncertain.

Withdraw

Enter the amount and choose Review withdrawal. The app checks the current official withdrawable balance before requesting the transfer. Funds return to the connected trading wallet shown on the page. The funding history determines when the withdrawal is complete.

Use the helpers

The price scenario helper estimates gross profit or loss from your entered quantity, entry and hypothetical exit. It excludes fees and funding and is not a forecast or a liquidation calculation. Funding rates, margin and liquidation values come from official data; rates can change.
